“We take great pride in creating and maintaining healthy vines, healthy people, and a healthy community. That is why we believe in giving back to our community through One Percent.” —Stan Zervis, viticulturist and vice president, SFC

Through the Silverado Farming One Percent Fund, one percent of our gross annual revenue is committed to non-profit organizations serving at-risk youth and farm worker families. The One Percent Fund creates a partnership designated to discovering and meeting needs that would not otherwise be filled. This commitment is central to the integrity with which Silverado Farming sees its place in the community in which it works.

In addition to investing funds, Silverado Farming employees donate their time, expertise and supplies to projects, broadening the scope of community investments and engaging employees in a culture of giving. Connecting with the community is a critical component of Silverado Farming Company’s philosophy. Supporting employees in service beyond the workplace brings it to action.

The Silverado Farming One Percent also provides transparency in doing business. Donating one percent of gross revenue each year is a commitment regardless of economic times and provides consistent giving without waiver or negotiation. Since establishing the One Percent Fund in May 2006, Silverado Farming has donated over $150,000 to non-profit organizations providing health, education, and housing services for individuals and families in need.
